This is a job for a compassionate, tenacious and target driven person. The impact the work this charity achieves is vital to local communities so its essential that you have a senior background in sales in Health and Social Care and these are predominantly in the Northwest. You will need a busy black book to navigate this landscape and build relationships with the commissioners, housing partners, and other key stakeholders in the sales cycle, to cover both current and new service lines and locations.
The Role
This position will lead the growth agenda taking a systematic approach to key accounts, ensuring that the company can deliver what commissioners need both now and in the future. This will include more complex provision for people with a learning disability or autism, or with a mental health condition.
To deliver our growth target the Director of Business Development will need to work closely with other senior leaders in the organisation particularly in Operations, Quality, Finance, Estates, IT and Governance.
- deliver a systematic, planned approach to business growth based on key account management and clarity of the various service models that the business offer.
- strengthen relationships with commissioners (in both local authorities and the ICBs) and to understand their needs in detail and articulate how the business may be able to support those needs.
- progress against the growth plans to senior stakeholders in the charity and to the business Board.
- the business has efficient, effective, and responsive processes in place for different types of opportunities including tenders, schemes, and single-person opportunities.
- a critical “customer-facing” leadership role as part of the senior leadership team working across functions to champion and deliver the required growth.
- appropriate, to represent the business in regional and national events to raise corporate profile.
- and maintain senior relationships with developers and housing providers to enable the growth agenda.

This position is offered as Full Time, based remote hybrid in central Northwest England. The salary offered is circa £90,000 offered as a fixed base without commission. This is a leadership position and has benefits that are benchmarked to the level of position and sector.
