Our client is an award winning and outstanding, CQC rated Care Provider within Hertfordshire and surrounding counties. With a growth strategy in place the business continues to successfully scale at pace and is now keen to hire an experienced People/HR and Talent lead who can ensure that the people remain at the heart of the organisation as it scales and achieved key business objectives.
It will suit someone with a strong HR/People background supported by great Employee Relations, Recruitment and Performance Management experience, who can work autonomously. The role reports into the Operations Director and will have reporting accountability for team leaders or associates within Compliance, Recruitment, and HR admin.
It is essential that you can demonstrate how you build and drive vision and values into a workforce and build trusting communication channels with employees. You do not necessarily need to come from a social care or health care background but will need to understand and empathise with the challenges the sector faces and work on strategies and solutions to overcome them.
The Role
· Define and embed vision and culture amongst employees
· Be accountable for the HR and Recruitment function leads and budgets
· Manage all company HR processes – employment contracts, employee wellbeing and grievances.
· Support and coach managers to proactively manage employee relations issues working collaboratively with the HR team
· Review Hiring and Retention strategies and processed and embed change where required. Systems knowledge and a pro-digital approach will be essential.
· Manage internal recruitment hires. This does not include front line care employees.
· Build a robust onboarding process.
· Build an internal employee communications process/ and or system.
· Build a recognition and reward programme.
· Support and drive the cultural and behavioural expectations.
· Provide HR expertise and keep up to date with all relevant employment law/legislation changes, ensuring any changes are cascaded and complied with throughout the business.
The Skills and Qualifications

- CIPD qualified, ideally level 5+
- Desired knowledge of Health and Social Care sector.
- 5 years+ experience in a senior people/ HR position within a scaling business.
- A solid understanding of HR automation and processing systems including Applicant Tracking and recruitment focussed partner systems.
